I had this wonderful tack sharp English PCP Pre-Charge using a Scuba Tank with high pressure since day 1!! Love it but need to thin out all my toys. An extremely powerful and accurate rifle where I put in only a bit of pressure for testing with the attached photo to show the. 22 pallet penetration powering thru' 1/2 pine board with ease! I'd used a 3,000 psi scuba tank for recharging this powerful air rifle.

I probably put thru' around 50 rds of. 22 pallets at the gun range for sighting in the rifle! Will sell the whole complete setup so you have a properly sighted air rifle read-to-go right away!! This is what Ken J said from the The Urban Fieldsportman article.

This rifle operates on the pre-charged system. A pump, or on my case, a small divers bottle is used to deliver pressurised air through an inlet port to charge the air cylinder. A bolt is pulled back , carrying a spring loaded hammer with it, cocking the trigger and also the pellet probe is withdrawn, allowing the shuttle to align a pellet with the barrel.

The bolt is then moved forward, the probe pushing the pellet in position ahead of the transfer port. When the trigger is pulled, the spring loaded hammer is released, which pushes a valve forward, its drilling aligning with the transfer port, momentarily allowing air to pass at speed through the port, to enter the barrel behind the pellet. The probe seals the rear end of the barrel, so the pellet accelerates along the rifled barrel to its exit. Due to the light spring acting on the hammer, there is little mechanical noise and even less vibration, resulting in very accurate shots every time. The cylinder holds enough pressure for about forty shots.
